Okay, I have been rearing flies for a few weeks now, with the amount gradually multiplying. So, I put some large jars of banana in the nets with the flies, hoping to make so huge cultures; and that is just what happened! Here is a pic of one of them:

As you can see, there are thousands of maggots in there, the majority still in the mixture and the bottom, and some still in egg form.
However, I am unsure as to what method will be the best, to hatch them in. I usually use large cylindrical nets, but they are pretty awkward, in the fact that the flies come out when you zip it open.
Has anyone had any successful fly rearing set-ups?
Cheers,
Ian

Banana and a few other fruits, thats about it.
Seems to work much better than the complicated formulas!
