What is the size of an individual egg in an ootheca?
And, when nymphs hatch, do they all come out of one side or do they come out at every angle?
(Can you tell this is my first ooth lol)

Thanks.

wELL YEA! HA HA, LETS SEE what can we compare it to. Of course it depends on the size of the mantis, but about an 1/8" for the biger species and 1/16 for small and the nymphs come out about that size and when they open up so to speak they untwine their arms and leggies they look a bit bigger. Just wait and see :}

As Becky said above.

The eggs are ususally around the same size, but the amount each ootheca contains varies a lot. They nearly always come out of one side, which you can tell as it has some kind of stripe or marking down it.

But yea, you will see for yourself sooner or later :)
