Description

Females are broad and spiny. They are dark brown in general, with a crème stripe running along their back. The males are similar, but they have slightly longer spines and are a lot skinnier. The spines are red-tipped.

Comments

These are a very easy species to rear in a humid environment with little ventilation. Females need somewhere to lay their eggs, so either provide a tub full of peat or similar, or have a substrate on the bottom of the cage. The eggs hatched for me after about 2-4 months. They like to drink, so spray heavily one a week.
