Invertabid Insect Auctions is a unique auction site run by Lee Reily. Invertabid was founded in 2006, as was originally known as "Reptiauction". The website was once used as an auction site for selling reptiles in general, but close competitors, www.reptileauctions.com. The idea of selling reptiles online, in auction, did not take the fancy of many, and if it did, then had already been catered for. So, the revelation of selling insects on auction then came along, to create invertabid. The only concern, however is the close competition with the auction site, eBay. eBay allows insects to be sold on auction, only if they are stated to be used as feeder food for carnivorous beasts. So, this market place is flooded with auctions, holding back the listings at Invertabid.
