Description:
Females very large. Mainly apple green, but also hints of gold, blue and purple. Inside of hind wing fuchsia purple. Very aggressive. Male, same as above, but skinnier. Both sexes have large wings, and males can fly. They both also have a large amount of spines on the legs. Nymphs brown.
Comment
An impressive species, for the more advanced keeper. Quite a high mortality in hatchlings, but after that very few problems. Eggs hatch from about 6-12 months. Keep in a well ventilated cage, but spray each evening as they like to drink.
